ICE HOCKEY

Ice hockey is a sport played on icy rinks with a puck being directed to the goal post with sticks as played in hockey. This is a kind of national sport in Nordic countries which hosts this form of game due to its aplomb weather conditions. International ice hockey federation(IIHF) governs the membership of 68 nations in this sport with all time winners emerging out of the above said countries. Since it is an offside game, where players move forward at higher speeds, injuries are surplus which can be managed with defensive jackets and guards. The game involves 6 players on each side including the goaltender stacked into forward and defensive positions. Under IIHF rules, each team may carry a maximum of 20 players and two goaltenders on their roster. Penalties are offered to players involving in misbehavior which ranges from 2-5 minutes take off from the play. Several clubs are present all over the world encouraging this sport and making it a winter culture of several nations.
