Calculate the approximate amount of cash

Mr. Dawson a man beyond his sixties lived with his wife who was about the same age as him in a small town near the country. Mrs. Dawson fell ill suddenly and had to be operated immediately. For that a huge sum of money had to be paid. With no kids to help him in such a situation he asked a few of his friends to help him out but they could do only a little. So Mr. Dawson mortgaged his property.

To mortgage a person must be 62 years or above, the property should be a primary residence and single family home and there should not be any federal debt. He satisfied all the requirements for mortgaging. Using the reverse mortgage calculator he calculated the approximate amount of cash that he would be receiving so that if the cash was less he could make other arrangements. He then had to meet the mortgage counselor who had to make the final decision. After the counselor’s decision Mr. Dawson got the money to save his wife’s life in time.
