Attitude Matters

Some how, I am feeling much relieved today. The sacking saga at my workplace had come to an end. Now all the employees are calm and peaceful. But this had created a void amongst us. But my instinct says that people who have not got sacked would not stay at my work place for a long time. Our place of work is well known for its job security. It has a nick name as “Government Company” among the private software companies. But these words will remain as a history, from now on. So the lack of insecurity fever started to hang on everybody.

But out of all theses issue, one good thing I learnt is to be optimistic. I had learnt this from my friend Viv. As I mentioned in my earlier blogs, he is also one among the unfortunate people who got sacked during this recent chaos at my workplace. But the attitude, he shown towards his life is just hard to believe and astounding. When I met him yesterday, I thought he would be very distressed. But to my surprise, he was just looking for an affordable logo design for his new startup. Very hard to digest, rite!! That is Viv, I wish him all the very best for his start up.

Havoc

As an alternative of writing my personal poignant anecdote, today, I am intending to share very useful information to you people. This is on the subject of legal compensation for the people whose job profile or workplace at a mammoth risk. In general, Armed forces, police, construction workers, marine people are those who strike our mind, when it comes to risky occupations. But the true fact is there are other professions, which are more risky than the above mentioned ones. Few instances are a person who works in Chemical plants, Auto manufacturing and production, Steel manufacturing units, Oil processing plant workers and etc.

These people are living very nearer to us. Any one of our family member or friend, may part of this profession. Sadly, we very often do not observe them. We do not understand the serious impact of their health. They are very vulnerable to so many unknown diseases. For an example, Mesothelioma is an uncommon type of cancer upsets the majority of the body’s organs. The same is caused due to the exposure to asbestos. But few organizations, do not take necessary actions to safe guard the workers. That is why, even in the past, so many worker welfare groups had filed mesothelioma lawsuits to sue the companies. Proactively, both employers and employees need to take precautionary measures to avoid the havoc.

Pessimistic

As I had mentioned below, I am unable to concentrate on any said things. Sorry pals, I am completely boring you people with my pathetic stories. But I am completely in an awful situation now. I want to share my sorrows to some one or other. I had not told about my job insecurity to  any one at my place. I do not have the guts to share the same to them. I do not know how they will react to it. But, as time passes, I am getting very pessimistic.
Though my job is not sacked till this moment, I want to be very cautious and pro active. I have some huge debts, so I need to work hard to get rid of all those. The so called secured job also let me down. I need to switch over my job as soon as possible. Though I get so many mails regarding job openings, only mail sounds like a good Tier 1 company. But reality is something different.  Mostly they were very small companies. I can’t blame anyone for it, this is the thumb rule used by job portals to  opt in email marketing. What all I can do is, to keep my fingers crossed and wait for my D-day.

Reflective insulation

Tragic day

It was around 10:00 AM, one of my colleagues got a mail from HR. The mail stated that, he was fired from the organization due to performance related issues. In matter of time, few others got mails with the same content. Though the cause stated for their unexpected dismissal was due to lack of performance. But this is not the truth there were people who gave their superlative efforts also had thrown out. Actually, our concern is not doing well far past a year or so.. Added to it, two of our very key clients also had decided to discontinue our services. So the settling of scores is done on us.

The distressing moment of the day came around 04:00 PM, one of my very close pals, Viv had shown the door too.  This lay off will go till this weekend it seems. I do not know whether I would figure in the tomorrow lay off list. Seriously, this is one among the very tough moment of my life. Out of frustration, few of my colleagues had written badly about the senior management in our organization’s blog host . I too thought of sharing my views, but unfortunately I do not have that much gut to do so. As time passes, I am getting nervous, please do pray for me friends.

Technology Impact

Technology had advanced beyond our prospect. In particular, the last two decades or so, it had grown multi fold.. Technology innovation and amazing advancement had helped both the business houses and consumers a step ahead. But this growth had come up with some serious unfavorable effects with it. First of all, it is a very inorganic growth. Moreover, it had helped to grow only one p art of the society and left the other segment of the societies unattended or without any extreme transform. Due to this emerging economies like China, India, Brazil and etc, face a very big inflation and its concern. Whereas developed nations are unable to repossess them from the downturn. Thanks to globalization!!! 

Though, technology advancement is helping us to lead a comfort life styles. Physical activity of human beings got reduced drastically. Neither in work place nor at home, have we all remained as couch potatoes. These kind of habitat had lead to some serious diseases. Almost all of them are into  prescription eye glasses, stress, diabetes, arthritis, obesity and others. A recent study reveals, that we all are very vulnerable and prone to n number of diseases and unnecessary stress. It also suggests to practice yoga, mediation and exercises regularly. It also recommends to consume healthy foods and to avoid junk items.
